Client Bill of Rights
As outlined by Ontario Regulation 187/22, your rights as a client include:
- Respect: Be treated with dignity and respect, free from abuse.
- Information: Receive clear, accessible information about services.
- Involvement: Participate in the development and reassessment of your care plan.
- Nondiscrimination: Receive services free from discrimination.
- Cultural Safety: Receive services in a culturally safe manner, particularly if you are
of First Nations, Métis, or Inuk descent. - Consent: You have the right to give or refuse consent to services.
- Concerns: You may raise concerns or suggest changes without fear of reprisal.
- Coordination: Receive help in coordinating services to meet your needs.

- Be informed about the laws, rules, and policies that affect your care.
- Understand the procedures for filing complaints.
